Maxi's Mates
We’re proud to share the successful completion of a project at Maxis Mates, a dedicated dog rescue and rehoming charity located just outside Guisborough at Carlin Howe Farm in Dunsdale, North Yorkshire.
Founded in memory of a stray dog named Maxi, whose story inspired the creation of a safe haven for abandoned and stray dogs across Teesside and the North East, Maxis Mates continues to make a profound impact in the community.
Thanks to a generous £15,000 grant from the Rural England Prosperity Fund, the charity was able to tackle the rising cost of energy bills. We installed 14 solar panels, creating a 5.74kW system that has significantly reduced their electricity expenses—which previously reached up to £30,000 per year. This project not only supports the charity’s sustainability goals but also ensures that more resources can be directed toward the care and rehoming of dogs in need.
